Welcome to Classic Triumphs.
Photos and pictures of classic Standard & Triumph cars.
Welcome to Classic Triumphs in the UK. This site will grow to contain an ever broadening stock of photographs showing
old Standard-Triumph motorcars, all of which are built prior to 1980.
These photos have been taken over the last few years at a number of classic car shows up and down the length of Britain.
Included on this site are pictures of Standard and Triumph saloon cars, sports cars, estates and the occasional commercial
vehicle. In time I will add in more pictures, the aim being to build a comprehensive site solely showing information
and pictures on Triumphs and Standards from the 1930s through to the 1970s.
My first Triumph was a Mk3 Spitfire that came my way back in the mid-1980s and was my first proper old car. A couple of
Mk3s have been and gone to provide spares for the Spits I've had on the road, the last of which was a highly modified
Mark3 fitted with a Rotoflex chassis and a 2.5 engine. If anyone knows what happened to blue Mk3 GRO 536G, please get
in touch. I sold it to a guy in Clitheroe in 1994/5 and last I heard it was still running, albeit now with a 1.5 engine. I know my old Spit, KED 453F, is still
around and in fine fettle.
Standards are only a recent phenomenon for me, my first Ten being a brief dalliance early in 2003, and was swiftly
followed by a '57 Ten and later a very useful Companion estate car.
I hope Triumph fans approve of the images on this site, and please pop by again to see what's been added in.
